Deepak Dobriyal was born on 1 September 1976 in Pauri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand. Deepak is an Indian film and theater actor. He is the winner of Filmfare Award. He worked in many Bollywood movies like Omkara (2007), Shaurya (2006), Tanu Ved Manu (2012), Dabangg 2 (2013), Chor Chor Super Chor (2014), Tanu Ved Manu Returns (2015), Prem Ratan Dhan . Payo (2016), Hindi Medium (2018) and English Medium (2022).
Deepak Dobriyal was brought up in Pauri Garhwal district. His parents are from Satpuli village of Pauri Garhwal near Kabra village of District Rithakhal. Later, when he was 6 years old, his family shifted to Delhi. There, Deepak completed his studies at Government School Boys Senior Secondary School Begumpur. In 2005, he lived in Katwaria Sarai in Delhi. Dobriyal is married to Lara Bhalla in 2011.
He started his career in 1993 with noted theater director Arvind Gaur. From 1990 to 1994, his major plays with Gaur included Tughlaq, Ang Yug, Final Solutions, Desire Under the Elms, Rakta Kalyan, Court Martial, Dario Fo’s Operation Three Star, Since 2001, the plays Caucasian Chalk Circle, The Good Person of Schezwan, Neil Simon’s Good Doctor and Ashok Lal have been popular.
