Jia Shankar is a young Indian actress who mainly works in Hindi television and webseries. She is widely known for playing Dr. Irawati “Ira” Pandey in Meri Hanikarak Biwi and Sushila “Susheela” Ruhel Solanki in Kaatelal & Sons since 2019. She also appeared as co-host of “Good Night India” on SAB TV in 2020. Jia was seen in the 2022 Marathi film Ved. In 2023, she has participated in Bigg Boss OTT 2 as a contestant.

Shankar made her acting debut in 2014 in the Telugu film Entha Undanga Unnave, starring opposite Ajay Manthena. Later in 2018, she appeared in a Tamil film titled Kanavu Variam opposite Arun Chidambaram. Shankar made her television debut in 2016 with Bindass’s Love By Chance opposite Karan Singhmar as Alisha Rai. Shankar made her first television outburst in 2017 by playing the lead role of Shreya Dixit Rathod in &TV’s Queens Hain Hum.

Shankar was seen in SAB TV’s Kaatelal & Sons in 2023 playing the role of Sushila Ruhel Solanki opposite Paras Arora.. From August 2021, she is playing the role of Pavitra in Colors TV show Pishachini opposite Harsh Rajput.

He was seen in Ved in December 2022 as Nisha Katkar alongside Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia Deshmukh. The romantic thriller drama film had collected Rs 75.4 crore at the box office till January 2023. He was recognized for his on-the-go acting talent and for being a distinct face in the Marathi film industry. In the starting season of 2023, Shankar is participating in the game reality show Bigg Boss OTT 2.
