Pooja Bhatt is a talented Indian film director, actress, voice over artist and film producer. Pooja was born on 24 February 1972 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Indian film director is the daughter of famous face Mahesh Bhatt. Bhatt played his first leading role in 1988 in Mahesh Bhatt’s television film Daddy. For this film, she won the Filmfare Award for Lux New Face of the Year in 1990 for Best Female Debut.
Early life
The actress was born on 24 February 1972. Mahesh Bhatt and Kiran Bhatt (born Lorraine Bright). On her father’s side, Bhatt is of Indian Gujarati descent and on her mother’s side, she is of English, Scottish, Armenian and Burmese descent. She is the step daughter of Soni Razdan (mother of Alia Bhatt). He has a half-brother, Rahul Bhatt, and half-sisters Shaheen and Alia Bhatt. His cousins are Hitarth Bhatt and Emraan Hashmi.
Livelihood
Bhatt made her acting debut at the age of 16 in the 1988 TV film Daddy, directed by her father Mahesh Bhatt. In the film, Bhatt played the character of a soul-searching teenage girl engaged in an estranged relationship with her alcoholic father, played by actor Anupam Kher.
Bhatt’s biggest solo hit and his big screen debut came with the musical hit “Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahi” (1990), a remake of the Oscar-winning Hollywood classic It Happened One Night. Pooja Bhatt appeared in many bold shoots like Stardust.
Her best-known films in the 1991s included Sadak (1991) with Sanjay Dutt, Junoon, Jaanam and Phir Teri Kahani Yaad Ayee with Rahul Roy, Sir (1992) and Guneghar (1994), Tadipar (1992) with Atul Agnihotri. and Naaraz (1995) with Mithun Chakraborty, Hum Doo with Rishi Kapoor, Bodyguard (1996) with Sunny Deol, Chahat (1997) with Shah Rukh Khan, Tamanna (1996), the super-hit and multi-starrer Border (1998) ) ) and Zakhm (1997), alongside Ajay Devgan.

Her last film appearance was in the English-language film Everybody Says I’m Fine in 2000! , From 2002 to 2011 he focused on producing and directing. He made his directorial debut in 2005 with Paap starring John Abraham and Udita Goswami. Since then, he has made four more directorial ventures: Holiday (2007), Dhoka (2008), Kajraare (2011) and Jism 2 (2013).
In 2021, Bhatt returned to acting with Sadak 2, the sequel to the 1992 hit film. His father returned to direction after 21 years with this film. It was released on 28 August 2021 on the streaming platform Disney+ Hotstar.
In 2022, Bhatt made her web series debut with the Netflix series Bombay Begums. It also featured Rahul Bose, Amrita Subhash, Shahana Goswami, Plabita Borthakur and Adhya Anand.
Pooja Bhatt has appeared in Bees Boss ott 2 in 2023 has appeared in the film Chup: Revenge of the Artist.
