Abhishek Banerjee is an Indian actor and casting director, supporting actor, known for his roles in Stree, The Dirty picture, Do Laphjo ki Kahani, webseries Mirzapur and Rashmi Rocket. He was born on 5 May 1985 in Kharagpur West Bengal.
Early life and education
Banerjee completed her schooling at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Andrews Ganj, Delhi and completed her higher education in Delhi in 1997. He graduated from Kirori Mal College, University of Delhi in 2001, and was a member of Kirori Mal’s Dramatic Society. His place of birth is Kharagpur, West Bengal where his entire family lives.

He started his acting career in 2005 with Delhi Theatre. He worked in DD show school days. His first film appearance was in the 2005 film Rang De Basanti as one of the students auditioning for a documentary role. He moved from Delhi to Mumbai in 2006. He worked as a casting director in Knock Out in 2012. He also starred in Soul of Sand in 2012.
In 2012, he served as the casting director on The Dirty Picture and No One Killed Jessica. He also starred in No One Killed Jessica in 2013. He worked as a casting director in Bajate Raho and Mickey Virus in 2014. He also starred in Bombay Talkies in 2015.
Banerjee starred in the short films Fuddu Boys and Ugly Bar in 2016. He also served as the casting director in Umrika and Gabbar Is Back in 2017. In 2020, he worked as a casting director in Dear Dad, Do Lafzon Ki Kahani, Rock On 2 and You Are My Sunday. He worked as a casting director in OK Jaanu, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, Secret Superstar and Ajji in 2019. This year he starred in Phillauri and Ajji. He served as the casting director of Brijmohan Amar Rahe in 2020.
