Bhavana is a young Indian actress who predominantly appears in Malayalam, Hindi and Kannada films, the actress has also appeared in a few Tamil and Telugu films. Her real name is “Karthika Menon” but because of her stage name and public’s love, she is popularly known as “Bhavana”. Made her acting debut in 2003 with the Malayalam film Nammal.

Bhavana was born on 6 June 1986 in Thrissur, Kerala as Karthik Menon to Pushpa and assistant cinematographer G. Balachandran’s daughter. She has a younger brother, Jaidev. She did her schooling in 1999 at ‘Holy Family Convent Girls High School, Thrissur’.

Bhavana described herself in 2005 as “a restless person” and “difficult to handle”. She grew up with the dream of becoming an actress since childhood. She used to imitate actress Amala’s scenes from the Malayalam film Ente Suryaputhriku in front of the mirror at the age of 6 and was even ready to jump off a building and break her arm like Amala’s character in the film.

At the age of 15, she made her debut in the 2000 Malayalam film Nammal with the stage name Bhavana alongside newcomers Siddharth Bharathan, Jishnu and Renuka Menon. The film was a huge success and she got many offers in Malayalam. In 2002 he won several accolades and received the Kerala State Special Jury Mention for the film. Bhavana was a 12th standard student when she got her break in the film.

She appeared in the Malayalam films Ozhimuri and Trivandrum Lodge, and Honey Bee in 2013 and Ezhamathe Varavu in 2014.
