Chandini Tamilarasan is an Indian actress who has acted in films in Tamil and Telugu languages. Chandini Tamilarasan began her career in 2007 as a model, participating in the Miss Chennai 2007 pageant where she ended up as a finalist. She began her acting career in 2010, playing the lead role in K. Bhagyaraj’s movie Siddhu +2. She later went on to act in Naan Rajavaga Pogiren (2013), where she played a supporting role.
Chandini was born on 6 March 1994. Her father’s name is Tamilarasan and her mother’s name is Padmanjali. her father being Tamil and her mother being Telugu. She has completed her schooling at Sacred Heart Matriculation Hr. Sec School in Chennai. She pursued her undergraduate degree in Visual Communications at Ethiraj College for Women, also located in Chennai.
Chandini Tamilarasan made her debut in the Tamil television industry in 2019 with the serial ‘Thaazhampoo’ and later appeared in the ‘Bharathi Kannamma’ serial. As of now, she is currently working on Zee Tamil’s serial ‘Rettai Roja.’
Chandini’s second film, Padithurai, in which she worked with newcomers and was produced by Tamil actor Arya, did not get a theatrical release after its completion. Despite receiving more offers, she declined them and decided to focus on completing her education. She returned to college to finish her degree in Visual Communications, which she completed in 2014. Her debut film, Siddhu +2, which had a delayed release in December 2010, performed poorly at the box office and received average reviews.
Chandini Tamilarasan made her Telugu film debut in the action-drama Kaalicharan, which was released in 2014. She followed this up with two more films, Lovers and Kiraak, both of which were released in August 2014. She has several upcoming projects including Chandini Suseenthiran’s production Will Ambu in which she plays a poor slum dweller and Chandini Anjana Ali Khan’s Palandu Vaazga in which Chandini plays an IT professional. In 2020, she was cast in the Tamil TV series Rettai Roja as the replacement for the female lead Shivani Narayanan.
