Menaka’s real name is Padmavathy Iyengar, who is known as Menaka in the film world, she is an Indian film actress as well as a film producer. Menaka made her debut in the 1979 Tamil film Ramayana Vysukku Vanathutta. In an acting career spanning from 1980 to 1987, Menaka appeared as heroine in over 125 films, mostly in Malayalam. She appeared in Malayalam films only, she also appeared in some Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi films. He met film producer G. Married to Suresh Kumar. After which he had made a break from the film world, after 19 years, he made a comeback through the television serial Kaliveedu. At the 8th SIIMA, he received the SIIMA Lifetime Achievement Award.
Maneka was born in a Tamil Iyengar Brahmin family in Nagercoil, Kanyakumari district, India. Her Dharam was of Brand Kul. She was the only daughter of four children of Rajgopal and Saroja. She was brought up lovingly as she was the only daughter. Both of Maneka’s parents were school teachers. His mother Saroja taught at the Lourdes Girls’ Higher Secondary School in Perambur, Madras. Maneka married film producer G. Suresh Kumar on 27 October 1987. They also have two daughters named Revathy and Keerthy Suresh and Akni, one daughter is also an Indian film actress.
