Shakti Anand is a young Indian television actor. He was born on 23 September 1974 in a Sikh family in Delhi. From 2002 he appeared in various television shows like Tenali Rama (TV series), Sara Akash, Sambhav and Ek Ladki Anjaani Si. The actor also hosted the first season of the crime reality show Crime Patrol in 2003.
He is best known for his work in TV shows and gained fame for his roles in popular serials like Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Crime Patrol, Nach Baliye and Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap in 2013. He is currently working in films. One of his films “I Love Desi May” is set to hit the theaters in 2015.
Anand was born on 23 September 1974 in a Punjabi family in Delhi. In 1987, he studied at the Tamil Shiksha Sangh University in Delhi and studied in the science stream. After that, in 1995, he obtained a master’s degree in pharmaceutical engineering. Shakti received an offer to act in the television show Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi in 1998 when he was working as a medical examiner with GE Capital in Delhi. In 1999 he played a blind boy in the telefilm Nayan Jyoti produced by Deepak Sharma and edited by Sanjeev Khanna for Doordarshan.
Shakthi and his wife Sai Deodhar participated in the first season of the celebrity dance show Nach Baliye in 2000. In the serial “Bhagwan Bharai Mein” in 2012, he acted as the character of Shivam. The actor had worked as Maharana Udai Singh in the daily serial titled Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap. In 2000, he also worked in the show Supercops vs Supervillains on Life OK.
From 2001 to 2003, Shakthi was also seen as Shiva in the show Ganga on &TV and as Samrat Balakumar in the popular Tenali Rama (TV series) aired on Sony SAB. In 2016, Anand was last seen playing the role of King Shiladitya of Maling in the show Mayavi Maling on Star Bharat.
Anand married actress Sai Deodhar in 2004. A daughter was born to them in 2010.
